MLB Power Rankings Based on World Series Odds on July 25 (Astros Take Over Top Spot)

The second half of the MLB season is officially underway!
With the trade deadline creeping up on August 2nd, and some teams making a run at the Wild Card (we see you, Baltimore), baseball season is about to heat up.
Every week at BetSided, yours truly shares the latest Power Rankings for MLB in relation to the odds to win the World Series at WynnBET Sportsbook.
Let's jump into where everyone stands following the All-Star break:
1. Houston Astros (+500) Last Week: No. 3
We have a new No. 1! The Houston Astros handled the New York Yankees again, this time in a doubleheader before sweeping the Seattle Mariners. They're looking like the best team in baseball right now.
2. New York Yankees (+375) LW: No. 1
The Yankees remain the odds-on favorites, but they lost another crucial part of their bullpen for the year in Michael King. The Yankees need pitching help at the deadline. Still, Aaron Judge is mashing and should win AL MVP.
3. Los Angeles Dodgers (+450) LW: No. 2
The Dodgers have won eight straight games and look like the team to beat in the NL, even though their World Series odds have dropped from +425 to +450.
4. New York Mets (+750) LW: No. 4
The Mets picked up a big win on Sunday Night Baseball to move 1.5 games ahead of the Braves in the NL East. This division race is going to be one to watch closely.
5. Atlanta Braves (+1000) LW: No. 5
The Braves are surging, and they have a legit shot to pass the Mets in the NL East. It will be interesting to see if the team makes any major deadline moves like it did last season.
6. Toronto Blue Jays (+1200) LW: No. 13
The Blue Jays have won six straight games and are starting to show why everyone expected them to win the AL this season. Toronto could use some pitching help, but this is a solid stretch to start the second half.
7. San Diego Padres (+1500) LW: No. 6
The Padres continue to fall in our Power Rankings, but the potential return of Fernando Tatis Jr. could really help them make a second half run.
8. Milwaukee Brewers (+2000) LW: No. 11
Milwaukee has won three straight to extend its lead in the NL Central and starter Freddy Peralta appears to be on the comeback trail after making a rehab start on Sunday.
9. Tampa Bay Rays (+2500) LW: No. 8
Despite losing back-to-back games to close the weekend, the Rays have won seven of their last 10 to create some space from the Boston Red Sox in the AL East.
10. Seattle Mariners (+3500) LW: No. 7
Maybe I was too quick to put the Mariners in the top-10, as they were swept by the Astros this weekend. Still, their odds to win the World Series have gone from +7500 to +3500.
11. Minnesota Twins (+4000) LW: No. 12
Minnesota continues to hang onto the top spot in the AL Central, but the Mariners' recent run may make it tough on them to grab a wild card spot if they can't hold onto the division lead.
12. St. Louis Cardinals (+3000) LW: No. 10
The Cardinals are going to face some adversity in Toronto, as Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt are both unvaccinated an unable to play.
13. Cleveland Guardians (+10000) LW: No. 16
I'm not sure the Guardians deserve this spot, but they aren't spiraling like some of the other wild card contenders right now.
14. Philadelphia Phillies (+5000) LW: No. 13
The Phillies have lost three straight, seven of their last 10, and aren't feeling the love from the fans (just ask Nicholas Castellanos, he can hear the boos).
15. Chicago White Sox (+4000) LW: No. 17
The White Sox have been playing better as of late, winning seven of 10 and defeating Shane Bieber and the Guardians on Sunday to pull just a game back of the No. 2 spot in the division.
16. San Francisco Giants (+5000) LW: No. 15
The Giants are now just one game above .500 after losing four straight games. They're facing an uphill battle for a wild card spot.
17. Boston Red Sox (+3000) LW: No. 14
The Red Sox are reeling. Boston has lost nine of 10 games and is just 0.5 games ahead of the Baltimore Orioles for fourth in the AL East.

1-9 in their last 10 games
Back at .500 for the first time since June 5 (were 11 games over .500 on June 26)
During their current five game losing streak, they've been outscored 67-13 with a team ERA of 13.40.
Yikes.
18. Baltimore Orioles (+20000) LW: No. 18
The Orioles stole a game from the Yankees over the weekend, and they are in serious playoff contention, just 3.5 games out of a wild card spot.
19. Miami Marlins (+20000) LW: No. 19
The Marlins had a massive scoreless streak that has dropped them to five games below .500. However, they haven't been bad enough (crazy) to drop past the rest of these teams.
20. Texas Rangers (+30000) LW: No. 120
The Rangers have a positive run differential, but their record and recent play doesn't reflect that of a playoff team.
21. Colorado Rockies (+100000) LW: No. 21
The Rockies' winning ways have come crashing back to earth, as they've lost four straight games. It doesn't look like a playoff berth is in the cards this season.
22. Arizona Diamondbacks (+100000) LW: No. 23
It's hard to expect much more from this Arizona team in a tough division. On the bright side, the team's negative-40 run differential is much better than several teams below or near them in the standings.
23. Los Angeles Angels (+10000) LW: No. 22
The Angels have lost eight of their last 10 and have just 40 wins on the season. This is a serious organizational failure to waste Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani's prime years.
24. Pittsburgh Pirates (+100000) LW: No. 24
Somehow, the Pirates have the second worst run differential in MLB and are in third place in their own division.
25. Chicago Cubs (+100000) LW: No. 26
The Cubs are rebounding out of the All-Star break, winning four straight games after a brutal losing streak earlier in July.
26. Kansas City Royals (+100000) LW: No. 27
The Royals are another team that should sell at the deadline which will be good for the future (hopefully) of the franchise.
27. Detroit Tigers (+100000) LW: No. 25
The Tigers are now in last in the AL Central, mainly because they can't score, and are just 2-8 in their last 10 games.
28. Cincinnati Reds (+200000) LW: No. 28
The Reds are committing to a rebuild, which means they could blow up this roster at the deadline to bring in more top-line prospects.
29. Oakland Athletics (+200000) LW: No. 29
Oakland is actually playing better going 6-4 in its last 10 games. With the AL West struggling, the A's could pick up a few more wins than expected entering this season.
30. Washington Nationals (+200000) LW: No. 30
The Nationals have the worst record and run differential in baseball. They STINK. Someone please trade for Juan Soto so he doesn't have to endure this any longer.
