MLB Underdog of the Day (Going Dumpster Diving On The Weekend)
By Josh Yourish
This pick right here will conclude my first week of work for Betsided. I’ve had a great time, and hopefully I’ve made somebody out there some money. The one thing I haven’t done is pick a winner in the Underdog of the Day.
First I went with a matchup of two of the league's best teams. Then, I tried to will the Royals to upset the Astros. Well today, we’re going dumpster diving.
Follow me to the depths of the MLB and maybe my least favorite place in America… Ohio.
Odds for the Underdog bet of the day and all games are available from our friends at the WynnBET Sportsbook.

My man, Matt De Saro, went the other way on this one and took the Reds moneyline. I’m here to show you why he’s wrong.
Matt told you about how Washington’s starting pitcher, Erick Fedde, didn’t even get out of the second inning last time out. That’s actually a good thing. Did he give up six runs and only get four outs? Yes. But that means he’s rested Matt.
Yeah maybe you think Matt made a good point when he said that the Reds starter, Tyler Mahle went 6 ⅔ innings and only gave up one hit in his last start. So, he’s way more tired than Fedde.
More importantly, I was taught an important lesson as a child that Matt clearly never was. You learn more from failure than from success. Advantage Fedde. Tyler Mahle probably learned nothing from pitching a gem, but think about how much Erick Fedde learned from getting absolutely shelled.
In all honesty, both of these teams are terrible and when you get a plus sign between two bad teams, I think you take it because who knows what is going to happen. Oh yeah, I do. The Nats are going to win it.
Pick: Nationals ML +115
