It's an old school vs. new school battle in Indianapolis tonight when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Indianapolis Colts on Monday Night Football from Lucas Oil Stadium.

Jeff Saturday makes just his third ever head coaching appearance on the sidelines for the Colts against Mike Tomlin, who's been roaming them since 2007 for Pittsburgh.

However, the quarterback battle for this evening features the opposite. Matt Ryan plays his 232nd career game while Steelers rookie Kenny Pickett makes just his eighth ever start.

Here's how the latest odds shake out:

There's already plenty of ways to bet tonight's game, ranging from a traditional pick on the spread, moneyline or total, as well as the available prop bets on the board.

Here, we'll focus on three different players offering up excellent value to cross the pylon as an anytime touchdown scorer.

Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for Steelers vs. Colts

  • Pat Freiermuth (+300)
  • Alec Pierce (+360)
  • Kenny Pickett (+600)

Pat Freiermuth - Steelers TE

Freiermuth is my favorite of all three options to get into the end zone tonight in Indy, primarily because he's seen too many targets and caught too many passes from Pickett without the touchdowns to show for it.

The Steelers tight end saw a season-high 12 targets in Week 11, catching eight balls for 79 yards. He was targeted on just under 1 out of every 4 snaps he played on the field. For a tight end, those are eye-popping numbers.

The monster game is coming, so I'm choosing to take the value while it still remains available.

Alec Pierce - Colts WR

Pierce offers intriuging upside in a plus-matchup.

The Colts' deep threat has been neutralized somewhat by Parris Campbell's impact in the slot, but Pierce is still the team's top deep threat, and was targeted eight times by Matt Ryan in their 17-16 loss to a very good Philadelphia Eagles team.

Via Adam Pfeifer, Pierce has over 50% of the Colts' deep targets in 2022, and faces a Steelers defense that's given up an NFL-high seven deep passing touchdowns.

For what it's worth, if you're going to take Pierce on this number, he's also worth considering for OVER longest reception (17.5 yards) and receiving yards (35.5) while both remain available.

Kenny Pickett - Steelers QB

I was able to grab Pickett at +550 to score an anytime touchdown this evening, so shop around because it still is available at a few different spots.

In the words of "Stugotz," Kenny can scoot! The rookie out of Pitt averages 5.6 yards per carry, totalling up 163 yards and three touchdowns so far this season.

The Colts have also allowed the third-most rushing touchdowns to quarterbacks this year, trailing only the Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears in that department.

With the Colts' success in stopping the traditional running game (averaging 3.8 yards against/rush), look for the Steelers to move the pocket more often for Pickett, and let him take off if there's an opening.
