Monday Night Football Best Bets for 49ers vs. Cardinals (Back Arizona to Make Monday in Mexico City More Fun)
By Ben Heisler
Monday Night Football kicks off in a matter of hours from Estadio Azteca in Mexico City between the San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Cardinals.
Kyler Murray is out for the Cardinals today, along with receivers Hollywood Brown and tight end Zach Ertz, but DeAndre Hopkins will play, and should be a popular target for backup quarterback Colt McCoy who returns to the lineup this evening.

49ers vs. Cardinals Prediction and Pick for Monday Night Football
Cardinals +10
Kliff Kingsbury is set up perfectly to cover for us tonight.
He is the only coach in the Super Bowl era with a losing record as an outright favorite, but a winning record outright as an underdog. Kingsbury is just 11-14 when he's a favorite vs. the spread, and is 17-16-1 as a dog.
As an underdog ATS, Kingsburuy is 22-11-2 over his NFL career, and happens to be 7-1-1 ATS vs. the 49ers.
Meanwhile, Kyle Shanahan has stunk as an outright favorite with a 19-28-1 ATS over his tenure in San Francisco.
Colt McCoy is a downgrade from Kyler Murray, no doubt, but he looked more than competent last week before getting injured, and also has protected the ball better than Murray this year. With James Conner fully healthy, I think this line is simply too big for the 49ers to cover in a divisional matchup against a team that's played them well historically. - Ben Heisler
Best Prop Bet for 49ers vs. Cardinals on Monday Night Football
James Conner OVER 19.5 Receiving Yards
I'll grab what appears to be a reasonable number to play the over on for James Conner in the receiving game as game script suggests Arizona will be passing fairly open.
Conner played nearly all the snaps in their victory vs. the Rams last week, while also catching three targets for 17 yards. It didn't go over the current total, but the Cardinals need him involved in the passing game to have a chance. Conner is a willing receiver and Arizona is happy to feature him as such, especially with some of their key injuries to their receivers and tight ends.
It's also advantageous to throw the ball, especially to running backs against San Francisco rather than run on them. The Niners rank first in football in opponent yards/rush, as well as second in opponent yards/play.
Best Anytime Touchdown Scorer Pick for 49ers vs. Cardinals on Monday Night Football
DeAndre Hopkins Anytime Touchdown Scorer
Hopkins has been peppered with targets since returning to Arizona’s lineup, getting 13-plus targets in three of his four games since coming back from injury.
Even though Colt McCoy is starting, I think Hopkins can still go off. Last week against a tougher secondary in L.A. with Jalen Ramsey, Hopkins still hauled in 10 receptions for 98 yards with McCoy under center..
Hopkins has two scores on the season, and the Cardinals will continue to involve him heavily.
