Week 5 of the NFL season wraps up with a marquee matchup in the AFC West between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football

The Chiefs are coming off a monster primetime win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 4, and they are looking to continue their dominance so far this season against the 1-3 Raiders.

Vegas hasn’t gotten off to the start it wanted, but another win against a division foe would go a long way to potentially locking up a playoff spot.

Here are three of my best bets for this game:

Best Bets for Raiders vs. Chiefs on Monday Night Football

  • Kansas City Chiefs -7 vs. Las Vegas Raiders
  • Darren Waller UNDER 51.5 Receiving Yards
  • Hunter Renfrow Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Kansas City Chiefs -7 vs. Las Vegas Raiders

There are a few places that have this game at 7.5, but as of this writing you can grab the Chiefs at -7 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

It’s going to be hard to find Kansas City at just 7 in this game, as the team has dominated in primetime under Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. When you couple that with Patrick Mahomes in primetime, you're going to get something special. Mahomes has won 15 of his last 17 games under the bright lights, throwing for 38 scores in those matchups.

To make matters worse for the Raiders and head coach Josh McDaniels, the Chiefs have put up at least 32 points in their last five games against the Raiders. They have three games where they scored 40-plus points. If that repeats, Kansas City should cover the spread in this game.

Darren Waller UNDER 51.5 Receiving Yards

Darren Waller cleared this number in Week 1 but has seen his production decrease in each week since then, recording 50, 22 and 24 receiving yards in his last three contests.

With Hunter Renfrow expected back in the lineup in Week 5, there are going to be even less targets for Waller, who has seen 24 through four games. I'm not betting on a Waller breakout against a team that has held him in check before.

Waller's lone game against the Chiefs last season was underwhelming as he finished with just 24 yards on four receptions.

Hunter Renfrow Anytime Touchdown Scorer

Renfrow makes his return after missing two games with a concussion, and it comes in a matchup that he's thrived in during his career.

During the 2021 campaign, Renfrow had two great games against the Chiefs.

His best was a 117 yard-performance on 13 catches. He scored in that game as well. His second wasn't as impressive, but Renfrow still racked up seven catches for 46 yards and another score.

If Kansas City sells out to slow down Waller or Davante Adams, Renfrow should be the beneficiary in a game the Raiders will have to throw plenty.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
