NBA Best Bets Today (Predictions for Jalen Brunson, OG Anunoby and Suns-Pelicans)
By Peter Dewey
We could see three playoff series end today, but we also could see three teams force a Game 7 on Thursday night.
I’ll be glued to the NBA playoffs over the 2022 NFL Draft, which means we’re making a pick for each game on the slate tonight.
I have props for the Toronto Raptors-Philadelphia 76ers matchup and the Dallas Mavericks-Utah Jazz game, and I’m picking the winner of the Phoenix Suns-New Orleans Pelicans Game 6 matchup.
Let’s get into the picks:

NBA Best Bets Today
- OG Anunoby OVER 2.5 3-Pointers (+115)
- Phoenix Suns Moneyline vs. New Orleans Pelicans (-140)
- Jalen Brunson OVER 23.5 Points and Assists (-115)
OG Anunoby OVER 2.5 3-Pointers (+115)
OG Anunoby has been one of the most consistent scorers for the Raptors in this series, and with Fred VanVleet in doubt for this game, I expect another high-volume shooting game for OG.
Over the last four games of this series, Anunoby has cleared this number twice, and he’s taken seven, nine, seven and nine 3-pointers in the process.
Holy volume. Grabbing OG at plus odds to hit three 3-pointers seems like a steal if he continues to take this many shots from deep.
Phoenix Suns vs. New Orleans Pelicans: Suns Moneyline (-140)
There’s a chance Devin Booker returns for the Suns in this game, and while I have a future on the Pelicans to win this series, I think Phoenix closes the series out in six games.
The Suns were dominant in Game 5, and they finally got a big game from a role player with Mikal Bridges scoring 31 points. If the Suns' role guys can continue to step up, even if Booker doesn’t return, I think they can roll in this game.
If Booker does play, this is a massive discount on the moneyline.
Jalen Brunson OVER 23.5 Points and Assists (-115)
I can’t say enough good things about Jalen Brunson, who is going to get PAID this offseason, as he’s cleared this line in every game in this series.
Yes, Doncic is back, but Brunson has taken 18 and 20 shots in the two games with Luka, and he’s averaging 28.6 points and 4.6 assists per game in these playoffs.
As long as Brunson’s shot volume stays the same, he’s a great bet to get 24-plus points and assists, and he may do it on points alone.
