We started the week with a 3-1 day in the NBA on Sunday, and I’m looking to carry the momentum from that into Monday’s packed slate.

There’s several games that are impacted by injury, including the Memphis Grizzlies-Golden State Warriors, Toronto Raptors-Boston Celtics and Oklahoma City Thunder-Portland Trail Blazers matchups.

Despite that, I have two player props and a spread pick that I like for the action on Monday:

NBA Best Bets Today

  • San Antonio Spurs -7 vs. Houston Rockets (-110)
  • Nikola Jokic OVER 48.5 Points, Rebounds Assists (-105)
  • Dejounte Murray OVER 23.5 Points (-105)

San Antonio Spurs vs. Houston Rockets: Spurs -7 (-110)

The San Antonio Spurs are just a game out of the play-in tournament in the Western Conference with eight games to play, and they’ve won three games in a row heading into a matchup with the Houston Rockets on Monday

This is just the ninth time all season that the Spurs have been favored on the road, but they are 4-3-1 against the spread in those games and beat the Rockets by 30 the last time they faced them on the road.

Houston is just 12-20 against the spread as a home underdog this season, and I think this is a spot to sell high after it's won three of four games.

These are two of the top three teams in the NBA in pace, but the difference is that Houston is dead last in the league in defensive rating while the Spurs are 18th.

San Antonio is also better offensively, ranking 16th to the Rockets’ 27th this season. This is an easy spot to back the Spurs in my eyes.

Nikola Jokic OVER 48.5 Points, Rebounds Assists (-105)

Nikola Jokics is in a great spot against a Charlotte Hornets team that is one a back-to-back on Monday.

The Hornets are third to last in the NBA in rebounding percentage, and they are 19th in opponent points in the paint per game this season. The last time these teams played, Jokic put up 29 points, 21 rebounds and five assists.

The Joker has also cleared this line in four of his last six games. I think Jokic has a field day against the Hornets weak frontcourt and I love getting him at -105 odds to go over this number.

Dejounte Murray OVER 23.5 Points (-105)

San Antonio Spurs guard Dejounte Murray has been on fire as of late, averaging 24.3 points per game on 19.6 shots per game over his last 11 matchups and hitting the over on this number in eight of 11 games.

Murray gets to face the league’s worst defense, the Houston Rockets, on Monday night and should have a field day scoring as both of these teams play at a top three pace in the league.

I expect Murray to continue his strong scoring tonight.
