North Carolina State vs. Miami (FL) Prediction and Pick
I have been high on the Wolfpack all season, and this is another opportunity to cash in on one of the most undervalued team in the country.
Before I tell you why I like NC State, let's do a simple comparison. The Wolfpack closed as three-point favorites at Boston College, who was off of a bye and undefeated heading into that game. State won that game 33-7, an impressive win.
Now we are getting the same price on the visitors against a Miami team that has lost three of four and allowed 30-plus points in each loss? Sure, this is a second straight road game for NC State, but Miami is onto their backup quarterback and have likely quit on the season.
The Hurricanes started Tyler Van Dyke, who was able to hit a few deep passes against North Carolina last week, but will be facing one of the stiffest defenses in the nation in North Carolina State who is eight in defensive success rate. It will be tough sledding for Van Dyke in the backfield as Miami announced starting running back Cam'Ron Harris is out for the year with an injury.
One team has everything to play for in NC State while the other is going through the motions in a down year in Miami. I'll take the road favorite up to -4.
Pick: North Carolina State -3
