NFL Mid-Week Movement: Saints Gaining Sharp Action Ahead of Cowboys Thursday Night
By Ben Heisler
The New Orleans Saints own the longest current losing streak in the NFL, but sharp bettors believe this is an ideal spot to buy low.
After opening up as 5.5-point home dogs to the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans is now on the move in Vegas. The line has fallen down a full point to Saints +4.5 ahead of Thursday Night Football from the Caesars Superdome.
This matchup is actually the sixth consecutive time these two teams have met in prime time, going all the way back to 2010. New Orleans has owned the series over the last 11 years, winning five of the last seven games.
One potential reason for the move may be more reflective of the Cowboys' current situation than the Saints. Dallas will be without head coach Mike McCarthy on the sidelines after testing positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week. While one might argue (in joking fashion, of course) that having McCarthy away from the Cowboys is actually a positive, it still takes the team and coaching staff out of their typical gameplan with defensive coordinator Dan Quinn stepping into the head coaching role.

They've since gone 1-3 ATS over their last four games. While they played on a short week last Thursday on Thanksgiving vs. the Raiders, they have a full week to recover ahead of this Thursday's game, compared to New Orleans which now plays on only three days rest.
Since quarterback Jameis Winston was lost for the season, the Saints have lost four consecutive games and find themselves at 5-6 on the season after opening at 5-2, firmly in the mix for the postseason. The Saints
While the line has shifted towards the Saints, the total has remained even at 47 throughout the week at WynnBET.
