NFL Picks Against the Spread for Every Team in Week 1
NFL is back!
It's truly the best time of the year, as we all prepare to sit on our butts and watch some NFL action. What better way to make it even more enjoyable than by placing some bets?
Luckily for you, I'll be giving you my best spread bets for all 16 NFL Week 1 games, right here.

Now, without delaying any further, here are my against the spread picks for all NFL Week 16 games. Odds below are courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
NFL Week 1 Spread Picks
Buffalo Bills vs. Los Angeles Rams
- Pick: Rams +2.5
New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons
- Pick: Falcons +5.5
Cleveland Browns vs. Carolina Panthers
- Pick: Browns +1.5
San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears
- Pick: 49ers -6.5
Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals
- Pick: Bengals -6.5
Joe Burrow had the highest completion percentage and the most yards per pass attempt last season, despite playing behind an offensive line that allowed the second highest sack rate in the NFL. Now, after the Bengals went out and signed three starters on the Oline, Burrow all of a sudden will be playing behind one of the better offensive lines in the NFL. That is a scary preposition.
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Detroit Lions
- Eagles -3.5
I'm not buying into all his Lions hype. I don't care that they were on "Hard Knocks", and I certainly don't care that Dan Campbell is a likeable coach. All I care about is winning games and covering spreads, and I have no reason to believe they'll be any better at that than they were last season.
Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans
- Pick: Texans +7.5
New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins
- Pick: Patriots +3.5
Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Jets
Pick: Jets +6.5
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Washington Commanders
- Pick: Jaguars +2.5
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Arizona Cardinals
- Pick: Cardinals +5.5
People quickly forget just how bad the Chiefs defense was last season. They ranked in the bottom 10 in virtually every defense statistic, and they had the second lowest sack rate. Also, Kyler Murray and Kliff Kingsbury have shown that they're a good bet early in the season. They slow down as the season progresses, but the Cardinals in Week 1 is an auto-bet for me.
Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers
- Pick: Raiders +3.5
Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings
- Pick: Vikings +1.5
New York Giants vs. Tennessee Titans
- Pick: Giants +5.5
Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Dallas Cowboys
- Pick: Buccaneers -2.5
Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks
- Pick: Seahawks +6.5
