NFL Week 10 Survivor Picks

Tennessee Titans

I'm ready to admit that the Titans might be a legitimate contender in the AFC. Now they take on a Saints team at home whose offense looked terrible against a poor Falcons defense last week.

While everyone is talking about how good the New Orleans defense is, they're extremely vulnerable through the air, ranking 23rd in opponent yards per pass attempt. The Titans will run away with this one and the Saints will drop their second straight game. -- Iain MacMillan

Indianapolis Colts

The Colts handled business against the New York Jets in Week 9 and now they face the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars at home in Week 10.

I know the Jags are coming off a win against the Buffalo Bills, but do we really expect them to pull off another 9-6 type of game against Indy? My mind says no way.

While the Jags are only allowing 3.8 yards per carry this season, they still allow the seventh-most yards per play in the NFL. Indy rolls as it tries to compete for the AFC South title. -- Peter Dewey

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have won four straight and their defense has come alive since T.J. Watt returned from injury. Najee Harris is the engine propelling their offense and Ben Roethlisberger is doing just enough to keep defenses honest and not stacking the box on every play. That's bad news for a Lions team that gives up 134.5 rushing yards per game, 29th in the league, and 8.8 yards per pass, 32nd in the NFL.

Sure, the Lions are desperate and at home, but the Steelers are now fully fighting for playoff positioning. They can't afford a loss to the worst team in the NFL. Expect Jared Goff to throw an interception or two and fumble the ball at least once against this Steelers defense, which should lead to a few easy scores for the Steelers O.  -- Brian Giuffra

Back in Week 3, I made the mistake of not only taking the Steelers at home against the Cincinnati Bengals in the BetSided Survivor Contest, I also made the egregious error of not using my actual “Survivor” picks in the 500+ member league I’m in. Turns out, the Steelers lost their second consecutive game at home 24-10 and I was knocked out in Week 3.

Now that we have the do-over, I’ll go back to Pittsburgh in Week 10 at home against the Lions. I don’t love the pick, especially with so many double-digit favorites available to choose from (not that it helped the previous week with Buffalo, Los Angeles and Dallas losing), but it’s still an easy Lions fade on the road with a Steelers team that got tested on Monday night but still prevailed. USED TEAMS: TB, GB, CAR, BUF, NE, IND, AZ, LAR, BAL. -- Ben Heisler
