NFL Week 11 Survivor Pool Picks

New England Patriots

Mac Jones and the Patriots absolutely dominated the Cleveland Browns in Week 10, and I think they have an easy matchup against the Atlanta Falcons this week.

The Falcons are 0-6 against the spread in their last six games against the Patriots, and they come into this game as 6.5-point underdogs. To make matters worse, Cordarrelle Patterson is expected to miss this game with an ankle sprain.

I don’t think Atlanta has the offensive firepower to beat the Patriots, and coming off a shellacking by the Dallas Cowboys, I’ll gladly pick them to lose this week. -- Peter Dewey

The moneyline/survivor pool lock of the millennium is this Thursday night's game between the Patriots and Falcons. Atlanta hasn't won (or covered the spread) against the Patriots since Nov.  8, 1998 and now, since the Super Bowl loss, the matchup is truly cursed.

Furthermore, the Falcons need to find a way to somehow bounce back after getting completely embarrassed by the Cowboys on Sunday. I can't imagine moral will be high going up against the Patriots on Thursday. Matt Ryan will be seeing ghosts as he gets flashbacks of Feb. 5, 2017. -- Iain MacMillan

Cleveland Browns

The Browns host the Detroit Lions on Sunday, and despite Detroit picking up their first "non-win" of the season, they still are kicking themselves for how it all ended. From missed field goals to dropped interceptions, it was all an unmitigated disaster.

Meanwhile, the Browns got a serious wake up call in their road loss to the Patriots, as New England lit up the Browns' defense for 45 points. Mac Jones became the first Patriots rookie to ever throw three-plus touchdown passes and no picks, and Myles Garrett has publicly expressed concern with their defensive play calling.

With Cleveland still on the board, I like them to shore things up enough that they can get by the Lions in a must-win to save their season. Consider Week 11 the "Squeaky Wheel" game for the Browns.

P.S - Full disclosure, I wrote up Pittsburgh as my Survivor pick for Week 10, but in my actual contest, shifted to the Cowboys following the Ben Roethlisberger injury.

Baltimore Ravens

Sentiment is down around the Ravens, but I see them taking care of the Bears in a bounce back outing. Lamar Jackson and the Ravens should find more success with extra time to prepare for a Chicago defense that is allowing a score on more than 45% of possessions and able to put pressure on rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who is being blocked by a patchwork offensive line.

Not to mention, the Ravens are 50-27 off of a loss under John Harbaugh. -- Reed Wallach
