NFL Week 7 Survivor Picks

New Orleans Saints

Getting cute? Maybe, but I want to save some of the contenders I still have left and try to avoid the land mine that is coming for survivor pools. We all saw Geno Smith dink and dunk against an average Pittsburgh Steelers defense and anemic offense, but that won't fly against New Orleans, who has one of the best rush defenses in the league and a more formidable offense.

Not to mention the Saints are coming off of a bye, with coach Sean Payton 8-4 ATS off of an extra week of rest. I don't even need the points, just a win and I think New Orleans does enough to get the win against an undermanned Seattle Seahawks team. -- Reed Wallach

Arizona Cardinals

The Cardinals are the biggest favorites of the week, sporting a 17-point spread against the woeful Texans and -1600 moneyline odds. I don't really need to say more than that, but I will.

The Texans scored the second-fewest points per game in the NFL (15.8) and give up the seventh-most (28.7). The Cardinals are the opposite, scoring the fourth-most points per game (32.3) and giving up the second-fewest (18.2).

This is the easiest pick of the year. I just hope you didn't already use the Cardinals, though even if you did there are plenty of other easy picks to choose from this week. -- Brian Giuffra

I’d love to go against the grain this week, but I can’t pass up this spot for Arizona with two tough games on the schedule after this against the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.

The Cardinals’ offense has been unstoppable this season, and unless Tyrod Taylor is able to play and put on an all-time performance, I don’t see Houston coming away with the upset on the road. -- Peter Dewey

Cleveland Browns

The Browns are easily the best 3-3 team in the NFL right now. Despite a few tough losses, their offense continues to move the ball at ease against their opponents. They rank seventh in the league in yards per play at 6.1, and first in the league in yards per carry at 5.2.

Despite their injuries, I expect the Browns to get back in the win column against a Denver Broncos team that is also running into their own injury problems. Untimely turnovers and the Browns' defense struggling to get off the field on third and fourth down has been a major cause of their woes, but if they can correct those two issues, they should handle Denver on Thursday night
