NHL Best Bets Today (Three Underdogs Provide Betting Value on Wednesday Night)
Pop the champagne, we're officially 6-0 this week after two straight 3-0 sweeps in the NHL!
Last night, we hit two underdogs and an under to complete the second straight sweep.
Can we do the impossible and hit a third sweep this evening? It's going to be tough with only four games on the board tonight, but let's see what I can do.
Let's dive into my picks for tonight's slate. You can find the best available odds for every game on the board tonight HERE:

NHL Best Bets Today (Wednesday, November 30)
- Sabres +115 vs. Red Wings
- Sharks +250 vs. Maple Leafs
- Senators +110 vs. Rangers
Sabres +115 vs. Red Wings
The Red Wings are not nearly as good as their record indicates, so it's time to sell high on them. They rank 27th in 5-on-5 CORSI%, 30th in expected goals, and 14th in expected goals against. The opposite is true for the Sabres, who are coming in at seventh in 5-on-5 CORSI%.
The Sabres are led by the breakout star of the season, Tage Thompson, who has recorded 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points in 22 games this season. Keep an eye on him tonight against the subpar defense of Detroit.
Sharks +250 vs. Maple Leafs
This bet is a real heat check. The Maple Leafs should rightfully be favored, but the odds are completely mispriced in my opinion. Matt Murray has saved them for what has largely been subpar play by them in recent weeks. Over each team's last 10 games, the Maple Leafs rank 24th in 5-on-5 CORSI%, only two spots above the Sharks.
Murray is going to have his hands full tonight as he and the Leafs need to take on the Sharks who have a 12.9% shooting percentage over their last 10 games, the second best mark in the league over that stretch.
I'll take a shot on the Sharks as huge underdogs in Toronto tonight.
Senators +110 vs. Rangers
Igor Shesterkin hasn't played at the level that he played at last season, and it's costing the Rangers who have had holes in their game, especially on defense. Now, they have to face one of the better offenses in the league.
Despite their record, the Senators rank third in the NHL in expected goals per game this season at 3.52. They're also third in high danger scoring chances per game, averaging 14.52.
I'll back Ottawa as a home underdog.
