Coastal Carolina and Northern Illinois are set to meet in the Cure Bowl, taking place in Orlando, Florida on Friday night.

There has little line movement in this one between the 10-2 Chanticleers and the 9-4 MAC Champion Huskies.

NIU enters this one after beating Kent State in the MAC title game, but also have history going against them, as the MAC Conference winner is 1-8 in bowl games.

As mentioned earlier in the week, I'll be backing Coastal Carolina at this spread. Read here for more of my thoughts, but here's a snippet of info.

"Both of these teams are rush first on offense, inside the top 15 nationally in rush rate, but the difference is Coastal is elite on both sides of the ball while the Huskies are one of the worst rush defenses in the country.

"CCU is top 10 in rush success rate and will be facing a Northern Illinois defense that is outside the top 120 in that metric on defense. Further, they are the best explosive play offense in the nation, going against Northern Illinois suspect defense that has been prone to big plays.

"Lastly, the Chanticleers are a disciplined defense, top 25 in tackling and 20th in generating havoc plays.

"This line is right at -10.5, and I believe Coastal is in line to win this one comfortably, avenging last year's bowl loss last year to Liberty, and getting their first bowl win in program history."
