Odds to Win Stanley Cup: Avalanche and Panthers Favored in Final Week of Season
We're in the final few days of the NHL season. A few final seedings is all that's left to be determined in the Eastern Conference, and the Western Conference is locking in its wild card berths as the season is set to get wrapped up on Friday, April 29th.
Now that we know who's going to be in the postseason (unless the Golden Knights pull off something crazy), it's time to take a look at the latest odds to win the Stanley Cup via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Avoid Betting on the Avalanche and Panthers
The Colorado Avalanche and Florida Panthers will enter the postseason as the top spot in their respective conferences, and as a result, they're the top two teams on the odds list to lift Lord Stanley's Cup. The Avalanche are set at +325 (bet $100 to profit $325) and the Panthers are set at +500 (bet $100 to profit $500), but I'd strongly advised betting against either of them.
I've already written about why you shouldn't bet on these two teams, but I'll give you the simple versions.
The Panthers play a style of hockey that's too wide-open to succeed in the playoffs, and struggle in their own end at times. Do not bet on them.
The Avalanche haven't put up the kinds of stats you'd expect from the clear favorite to win the Cup, and have largely benefitted from being in a much weaker conference. I don't think they're even the best team in the West. Stay away from betting on Colorado.
Best Value Bets to Win the Stanley Cup
If I was recommending three teams to bet on to win the Stanley Cup, two of them would be amongst the teams at +900. The first is the Calgary Flames, who I mentioned I believe is the best team in the Western Conference. Not only that, but they have to get through a weak Pacific Division, and likely won't be seriously tested until the Western Conference final.
The other team is the Carolina Hurricanes. They lead the NHL in a lot of advanced analytics, and they have an easier path to the final coming from the Metropolitan Division, then the Atlantic Division teams who will beat up on each other in the first two rounds.
Finally, if you want a dark horse, go with the Edmonton Oilers are +2000. It's either them or the Flames who will come out of that side of the bracket. If they get hot and get strong goaltending from Mike Smith, there's certainly a world I can imagine where they end up in the Cup Finals.
This could be the year that the Stanley Cup finally returns to Canada.
