After winning the Super Bowl with the Los Angeles Rams, Von Miller is once again a hot name in the upcoming free-agent market. Miller had just eight sacks in 2019 and then missed all of the 2020 season before.

The Denver Broncos decided to part ways with Miller in the middle of the 2021 season after he had just 4.5 sacks and 17 tackles. Denver traded him to L.A. and the rest is recent history.

Miller ended up with five sacks in eight games with the Rams along with 23 solo tackles, more than double what he managed in seven games with Denver.

Now that Miller is set to hit free agency soon, I imagine that his performance last year in the second half will earn him a lot of attention.

While there is no list of suitors just yet, we can make a few educated guesses about the teams that would likely pursue him. So, let’s play bookie a bit here and set some odds on where Von Miller might end up signing in 2022.

Los Angeles Rams +115

The most obvious choice is for Miller to remain with the team that he just helped win a Super Bowl. It would surprise me if he had any plans to leave as the team attempted to run it back and go for two in a row.

He is already on the league's best defense and should only be more of a factor with the offseason to work with this group.

Denver Broncos +300

Von Miller spent all but eight games of his career as a member of the Denver Broncos. And while he tweeted last week that he wanted to go for two with the Rams, he has to be missing home a little bit.

Now that he has a championship under his belt, he might prioritize cashing in with a bigger contract than the Rams can offer him. If offers in the $15-18M range start pouring in, the Rams might be left with their checkbook in hand searching for a new edge rusher.

Green Bay Packers +500

I had the Packers second on this list initially. But, their recent re-signing of Aaron Rodgers for waaay too much money makes signing Miller a lot more difficult. However, the team is expected to let go of edge rusher Za'Darius Smith to free up some extra cap space and Von would be an upgrade at the position.

The biggest hurdle here is the financials but Miller with Rashan Gary and Preston Smith would be a scary trio for any team to face down.
