All eyes across the college football world will be on this week’s SEC matchup between No. 1 Alabama and No. 12 Ole Miss.

Alabama is still the king of the college football world, but the Crimson Tide, along with every other team in the country, has looked vulnerable at times this season. They barely escaped with a win against No. 10 Florida, and now they face their next toughest opponent on their schedule in the Rebels.

The number one storyline in the game will be the battle between the two quarterbacks, Bryce Young and Matt Corral, who are currently tied as co-favorites at WynnBET to win this year’s Heisman Trophy.

You have to assume the winning quarterback will take the lead in the race for the Heisman when the dust settles on Week 5 of the college football season.

Let’s take a look at the betting odds for the game, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Ole Miss vs Alabama Prediction and Pick

It’s always tough to bet against the Tide, but I’m going to back Ole Miss at +14.5 in this one. Florida gained 244 yards on the ground against this Alabama defense, and I think the Rebels can find similar success.

Heading into Week 5, Ole Miss is averaging 5.5 yards per rush attempt which is the 18th best mark in the country. Meanwhile, Alabama is 58th in this statistics, allowing 3.9 yards per rush, but that’s with two cupcake games on their schedule. The Gators averaged 5.7 yards per carry against Alabama, and there’s no reason why Ole Miss won’t be able to replicate that.

Finally, the Ole Miss defense might not be as bad as you think. It ranks 36th in opponent yards per play at 4.8, which is only slightly worse than Alabama at 4.7.

Give me the Rebels to keep this game inside of two touchdowns.
