Oregon State and Utah State get the luxury of being the inaugural matchup of the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl. Utah State won the Mountain West Conference, while Oregon State finished third in the Pac-12 North.

This will be a matchup of contrasting styles. Oregon State gets it done through the air and Utah State gets it done on the ground.

Here are the odds for their matchup via WynnBET.

Oregon State vs. Utah State Prediction and Pick

Earlier this week, Matt De Saro wanted to let everyone know that Oregon State would be ready to play.

On the other side of the coin, this is the Beavers’ first bowl game under the new coaching staff and with no conference championship, this is Beavers title game. I think that the Beavers get it done here as favorites on the back of RB B.J. Baylor who led the Pac-12 with 1,259 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. ...The offense relies heavily on Baylor and lost just one game when he went over 100 yards rushing. The Aggies haven’t had to deal with a back as good as Baylor and yet they allow 144.9 yards rushing per game. I think Baylor leads this team to a win and cover here as the Aggies have already played their “big game” and accomplished what they set out to accomplish with the MWC title game.

I agree with De Saro. While motivation for bowl games can vary, Oregon State is the better team and they will show up.

Pick: Oregon State -7 (-110)
