Pacers vs. Bucks Prediction and Odds: Fade Short-Handed Bucks at Home
By Peter Dewey
Giannis Antetokounmpo will miss the Milwaukee Bucks’ matchup with the Indiana Pacers after being placed in the league’s health and safety protocols along with guard Donte DiVincenzo.
Those aren’t the only players that Milwaukee is down, as the team could be without Khris Middleton (knee, questionable) and is without DeMarcus Cousins (personal reasons, out).
The Pacers are just 12-17 this season, but they’ve won three of their last four and narrowly lost to the Golden State Warriors, 102-100, their last time out.
Here are the odds for this game via WynnBET:
Pacers vs. Bucks Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Pacers -2.5 (-110)
- Bucks +2.5 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Pacers -140
- Bucks: +120
Total:
- 217.0 (Over -110/Under -110)
Pacers vs. Bucks Prediction and Pick
This line opened as a pick’em at WynnBET, but the Pacers have jumped to 2.5-point favorites and that line could move if Middleton is also ruled out.
I’m going to jump on Indiana early in this game, as it has looked better as of late. The Bucks are coming off a bad loss to the Boston Celtics and now will be without their best player on Wednesday.
While Indiana is five games below .500, it is 12th in offensive rating, 13th in defensive rating and Basketball Reference’s Pythagorean Wins stat has Indiana projected to be at 16-13 at this point in the season.
Unless the Pacers start losing players to COVID-19 as well, I like them to win and cover in Milwaukee tonight.
Pick: Pacers -2.5 (-110)
