Packers vs. Saints Odds Move After Venue Change to Jacksonville
By Peter Dewey
The Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints will play in Jacksonville in Week 1 after Hurricane Ida made it impossible for the Saints to play at home to open the season.
Originally, the Saints had been three-point underdogs at home against the Packers, but the oddsmakers at WynnBET have moved the line to 4.5 points now that it will be played at a neutral site.
What’s interesting about the line movement is that Aaron Rodgers is only 3-4 in his career in Florida, and it’s possible that factored into the Saints’ decision to play in Jacksonville in Week 1.
"The fact they considered the flights to Jacksonville being more expensive for Packers fans is honestly kind of hilarious,” NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said.
Here’s a full look at the odds for the Week 1 matchup:
Packers vs. Saints Odds and Total for NFL Week 1
Spread:
Packers -4.5: -110
Saints +4.5: -110
Moneyline:

Saints: +170
Over/Under: 50.0 (Over: -110/Under: -110)
Packers vs. Saints Prediction
Since 2003, the Packers have played one game at a neutral site and they are 1-0 against the spread. As for New Orleans, it has 5-1 against the spread in neutral site games since 2003.
So who has the advantage?
Considering that the Packers were already road favorites, I think Green Bay still deserves the nod here against the Saints. The Packers were 3-2 as road favorites in the 2020 campaign, and I’d trust Aaron Rodgers to handle business in Week 1 over a new-look Saints roster with Jameis Winston.
For fans looking for another angle, Green Bay and New Orleans were a combined 21-15 on overs last season and could be in line for a high-scoring affair in Week 1.
