The New England Patriots are one of the hottest teams in the NFL heading into their Week 15 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts. The Pats are on a seven-game tear and a comfortable two-game lead in the AFC East. New England needs to play a strong game to beat the Colts and keep their stranglehold on the division.

The Colts have suffered through some injury issues but have played very well overall and are still in the mix to win the AFC South. Last week they beat down the Houston Texans 31-0 and almost beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the week before 38-31.

The Patriots need to do their best to win out if they want to hang on the conference lead but this game has me questioning their ability to do so. Let’s review the updated odds for this Week 15 AFC clash, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Patriots vs. Colts Prediction and Pick

The odds haven’t moved all that much since my early-week preview for this game. The spread is inching towards three points but I doubt it gets there without someone getting injured. Since not much has changed neither has my initial impression of this matchup. I really like what Bill Belicheck has done to get this team back into the winner's circle. But, I think that the rushing attack the Colts present will end up being too much for this defense to handle.

Yes, the Patriots rank first in the NFL in points allowed to opposing teams but they are more adept at stopping the pass and not so much the run. This plays right into the Colts' plans with the best running back in the game right now, Jonathan Taylor. The Patriots are 19th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game and the Colts are first in yards gained per rush. It will be a tight game either way but I think the Colts separate themselves enough to cover this spread.

Pick: Colts -2.5 (-110)
