The AFC East has a youth movement going on at the quarterback position and two of those quarterbacks will face off against each other in Week 2. Zach Wilson and Mac Jones will go head-to-head for the first time next week, as both teams are trying to get their first win of the 2021 season. 

Jones had the better debut of the two, playing an efficient and crisp game in a loss against the Dolphins. Wilson had his struggles, also in a loss, against the Carolina Panthers, but was able to show some promise. 

The Patriots and Jets are both trying to avoid falling behind in the AFC East and a early win to bolster the divisional record would go a long way.

Mac Jones has looked solid in every game he’s played in and I’m going to bet on him to look solid against the Jets as well. New England has been in control of the division for years and although it isn’t the favorite this year, the Patriots are still a level above the Jets. 

Both quarterbacks should be more comfortable in their second start, but the Patriots’ roster is more well rounded. I’m taking them to not only win, but cover as well.
