The New Orleans Pelicans snapped a nine-game losing streak on Saturday night, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies, 112-101. The Pelicans had five players reach double figures in scoring in the win, with Nickeil Alexander-Walker leading the charge with 21 points and Herbert Jones throwing in 17 points off the bench.

The win over Memphis was New Orleans’ second win in 14 games this season.

The Washington Wizards are looking to extend their four-game winning streak on Monday night against the Pelicans. The Wizards streak reached four games after their 104-92 win over the Orlando Magic on Saturday.

Spencer Dinwiddie and Kyle Kuzma propelled Washington to victory with each man recording a double double.

Pelicans vs. Wizards Prediction and Pick

The Wizards have been much more efficient on both the offensive and defensive sides of the game compared to the Pelicans. As evidence, Washington has produced a point differential of 4.9 to New Orleans’ point differential of -9.6.

The Pelicans are really good -- at losing -- and as long as they continue to play without Zion Williamson, I don’t expect that to change. Brandon Ingram is back for New Orleans tonight, but that shouldn’t be too intimidating for this ever-consistent Wizards squad.

Williamson is not expected to return for the Pelicans until early December, and there are not too many games on the schedule that New Orleans appears capable of winning before then. The Pelicans may not win another game this month.

Pick: Wizards -4
