Two leading MVP candidates will square off on Thursday night with Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks hosting Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers

While I wrote in my NBA Best Bets column that I’m backing the Sixers to cover in this game, what about a same-game parlay with some props at WynnBET?

Here is my favorite one for tonight:

Best NBA Parlay Picks for Sixers vs. Bucks

  • Milwaukee Bucks Moneyline
  • Giannis Antetokounmpo 25+ Points
  • Bobby Portis OVER 5.5 Rebounds
  • Joel Embiid 40+ Points, Rebounds, Assists
  • Tyrese Maxey 12+ Points

Milwaukee Bucks Moneyline

While I think the Sixers will cover in this game, the Bucks are just too talented for me to expect them to lose this game outright at home.

The Sixers are without James Harden and coming off a blowout loss to the Celtics, while the Bucks will have Jrue Holiday, Khris Middleton and Giannis in the lineup.

Milwaukee is missing some role guys, hence why I’m not backing the Bucks to cover, but I think they enter the All-Star break on a high note.

Giannis Antetokounmpo 25+ Points

It’s shocking that Giannis isn’t getting more love in the MVP conversation (third in the odds at WynnBET) considering the fact that he’s averaging 29.4 points, 11.3 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season.

The two-time MVP has been the definition of consistent scoring the ball, as he’s cleared 25 points in 21 of his last 22 games, and he’s coming off a 50-point game on Tuesday.

I think this is a statement game for Giannis against the MVP favorite in Embiid, and I like him to remain one of the game’s best scorers tonight.

Bobby Portis OVER 5.5 Rebounds

Bobby Portis has been huge for Milwaukee since Brook Lopez went down, and I don’t expect things to change tonight.

Embiid poses a tough matchup on the defensive end for Portis, but the Bucks big man has been rock solid on the glass this season, averaging 9.2 rebounds per game.

Portis has missed six boards in just two of his last 40 games, and they both happened to be blowouts where he played less than 24 minutes. I think Philly keeps this one close, so I expect Portis to get his normal workload, and normal work on the glass, on Thursday.

Joel Embiid 40+ Points, Rebounds, Assists

I am buying low on this number as fast as I can after Embiid failed to hit 40+ PRA against the Boston Celtics.

Embiid played just 26 minutes in the blowout loss and attempted single-digits shots (nine) for just the second time this season. He still finished the game with 19 points, nine boards and six assists.

Prior to the loss to Boston, Embiid had cleared this number in 23 straight games. He’s averaging 29.3 points, 11.1 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season. He’s due for a bounce-back performance tonight.

Tyrese Maxey 12+ Points

This is the only leg of this parlay that I’d be a little concerned about, as Maxey has failed to score 12-plus points in three of his last 18 games.

However, on the season he has scored 12-plus in 38 of his 50 games (76 percent). He also dropped 31 against Philly earlier this season.

Maxey is averaging 16.9 points per game on 47.2 percent shooting from the floor and 39.5 percent from deep, and he’s going to get the touches to hit this number tonight. I like getting a chance to buy low on him after a rough outing for the whole team against Boston.
