Presidents Cup Prop Bets (Who Will Score Most Points for Team USA?)
Don't let the NFL season distract you from the fact it's Presidents Cup week!
Team USA will enter as huge favorites against the International Team, and likely rightfully so. The Americans are set as massive -700 favorites at FanDuel, so you likely aren't going to want to lay the juice to back them this week.
So, if you're looking to place some bets on the event this week, the best way to do it is through prop bets. There are several you can bet on at FanDuel, including who will be the top points scorer for each team.
Let me give you my top three favorite prop bets for this week's Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow.
Best Prop Bets for 2022 Presidents Cup
Top USA Team Points Scorer - Justin Thomas +650
Few golfers competing this week has had the level of success at Quail Hollow as Justin Thomas has. His first major victory, the 2017 PGA Championship, was hosted as this course. So, he's returning to a place he's going to feel very comfortable at.
Add in the fact that in order to score the most points, you're going to need to compete in several rounds. JT has become one of the leaders of this team, and he's one of the best golfers on Tour. There's no doubt that he's going to compete in at least four of the five rounds this week.
Top International Team Points Scorer - Corey Conners +700
Just like Justin Thomas of the Americans, you can bet Corey Conners is likely going to be competing in almost every round for Team International. He'll be one of the better players in a generally weak team, and his style of play should fit this course well. You have to drive the ball well at Quail Hollow, and he ranked fifth in strokes gained: off-the-tee last season.
Top Wildcard Points Scorer - Taylor Pendrith +1800
This bet is one on which captain's selection will finish with the most points. The Canadian, Taylor Pendrith, was a bit of a surprise selection for the International Team, but it makes sense when you consider his style of play.
Pendrith ranked 10th in driving distance last season on Tour, and if you can drive the ball far, you're going to have a leg up on the competition. With how weak the International Team is, trying to take advantage of stylistic matchups is going to be a path to victory for them. That's where Pendrith steps in. At +1800, I think he's a solid bet to finish with the most points amongst Captain's picks.
