The 2022 Super Bowl kicks off on Sunday with the world watching how things turn out at SoFi Stadium between the LA Rams and Cincinnati Bengals.

The Bengals opened as four-point underdogs with a total of 49. As of this writing, the spread is still four points but the total has dropped a half-point to 48.5. Here are the updated odds for Super Bowl LVI between the Rams and Bengals, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Rams vs. Bengals Prediction and Pick

It is amazing that the Bengals even made it to the Super Bowl after their odds opened at +7500 during training camp. For reference, the Rams opened at +1600. Now, heading into the final boss, the Bengals are +165 to win it all in what would be one of the greatest Cinderella stories in recent memory. After going 4-11-1 last season and losing Burrow to injury, it’s a hell of a story for them to make it this far. 

And, I gotta be honest, I love their chances to go all the way. 

First of all, Joe Burrow has been nothing short of amazing during the second half of the season. After beating the Chiefs, Burrow is now the winner of his last nine “must-win” games in a row. This dates back to his days at LSU. From SEC Title Games to National Championship games to the AFC Championship, Burrow just does not lose. I’ll admit, he came close last weekend against the Chiefs after throwing 250 yards and two touchdowns. But this team is so much more than just Burrow and they rallied to pull off another playoff upset. 

The offense is one of the scariest in the NFL right now and features rookie of the year candidate Ja’Marr Chase who finished in the top 5 in receiving yards, touchdowns, and yards per catch during the regular season. Chase already has two 100+ yard games in the playoffs along with a 23 yard rushing day against the Raiders. Between Chase, Tee Higgins, Joe Mixon, C.J. Uzomah, and Tyler Boyd, the Bengals have all the tools they need to whittle down the Rams' strong defense. 

I’m going to continue to ride the Bengals here as underdogs in what feels like the beginning of a new era of football in Ohio.
