Super Bowl 56 will feature the Matthew Stafford-led Los Angeles Rams and the Joe Burrow-led Cincinnati Bengals in what is an unexpected matchup.

The Bengals went from worst to first in the AFC North this season and reached the Super Bowl following back-to-back upset wins in the playoffs over the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Rams, who went all in by trading for Stafford, Von Miller and signing Odell Beckham Jr., defeated the Arizona Cardinals, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers on their way to a Super Bowl berth.

Los Angeles is a four-point favorite in this game at WynnBET Sportsbook. Let’s break down everything you need to know for this year’s Super Bowl.

Where Is the Super Bowl in 2022?

  • City: Inglewood, California
  • Stadium: SoFi Stadium

The Rams have a unique opportunity to host the Super Bowl this season, as it is scheduled to be played at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. Ironically, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers also played the Super Bowl at their home stadium in 2021 and came away with the victory.

SoFi Stadium was originally supposed to host the Super Bowl last season, but weather-related construction delays forced the NFL to push it back a season.

Rams vs. Bengals Prediction and Pick

Before the NFC Championship Game, I tweeted my Super Bowl pick, and it stands true with the Rams winning.

Cincinnati has gone 6-1 ATS the spread as a road underdog this season, and it has upset the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs on this playoff run.

Joe Burrow and the Bengals have plenty of weapons to compete with Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Odell Beckham Jr., and they came into the AFC title game with the fifth fewest rushing yards allowed this season.

The Rams defense is a force to be reckoned with, ranking ninth in the NFL in opponent yards per play, but Burrow and the Bengals have just looked too good the past few weeks for me not to ride with them again.

Bengals Super Bowl Wins

This will be the third Super Bowl appearance in Cincinnati’s franchise history, as it lost both Super Bowl 16 and Super Bowl 23 to the San Francisco 49ers.

Cincinnati had not won a playoff game since 1991 prior to this playoff run, but the Bengals have won and covered the spread in all three of their playoff games this season.

Rams Super Bowl Wins

The Los Angeles Rams last appeared in a Super Bowl in 2019 when they were defeated by the New England Patriots.

Los Angeles has one Super Bowl win in four trips, winning in 2000 against the Tennessee Titans. Sean McVay is coaching in his second Super Bowl in his career, but his offense put up just three points in the loss to Bill Belichick and the Patriots in 2019.

McVay will be looking to knock off one of his former staffers, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor, in the Super Bowl this season.
