There’s nothing that makes me more giddy than better against bad pitchers in Major League Baseball. I’m addicted to it. Matt Harvey, Dylan Bundy and Jake Arrieta have been among the top names that I’ve continuously faded throughout the season.

That’s why when I saw the starting pitching matchup between the Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles, I giggled like a child.

Glen Otto will get the start for the Rangers tonight, and he enters the game with a delicious 9.37 earned run average. He’ll face Orioles starter Zac Lowther, whose ERA is somehow even worse at 9.61.

This game is about to bring a whole new meaning to the term “pitchers duel."

Screw watching two Cy Young candidates pitch for seven scoreless innings, I want to see these guys serving up an all you can eat meatball buffet. I want to hear the ding of home run balls being hit on repeat.

WynnBET has the Orioles set as +100 home underdogs, and the Rangers are coming in as -120 road favorites. The total for the game is set at nine runs.

Rangers vs. Orioles Prediction and Pick

Don’t even think twice about this, let’s just take the over and have some fun. I can’t believe this total is in the single digits.

Two rookie pitchers who have been lit up in almost every start facing off against each other. It’s truly a sight to behold. Otto has allowed a combined 15 runs in his last two starts that only spanned across a total of 6.2 innings. Lorther has allowed 10 earned runs in his last two starts spanning across only 5.1 innings.

While the Rangers may not have a great offense, they should still be able to put up some runs today. The Orioles, on the other hand, actually aren’t terrible offensively. They rank 19th in OPS in the Majors dating back to Aug. 1.

If the pitchers getting yanked early concerns you, take solace in knowing that the Rangers are 18th in bullpen ERA (4.24) and the Orioles are dead last at 5.67.

This game is going to be a glorious disaster. Take the over.
