Day 2 of the Ryder Cup is in the books, and Team USA has all but locked up the victory.

They’ll enter the final day of competition with an 11-5 lead, meaning they only need 3.5 points on Sunday to secure their first win since 2016.

No team has ever come back down six points in the final day to win the event. It would mean that Europe would have to get 9.5 out of the possible 12 points available to retain the Ryder Cup.

The largest comeback in Ryder Cup history occurred in 2012. It’s dubbed the “Miracle at Medinah” as Europe stormed back on Sunday to get the win after entering the day down 10-6.

If coming back from 10-6 needed a miracle, than Europe needs a true act of God if they want to get the win tomorrow.

WynnBET has USA’s live odds set at -5000 to win the Ryder Cup, which gives them an implied probability of 98.04%. At this point, you would have to bet $5,000 on the United States to win a measly $100.

If you think Europe can make the impossible comeback, you can bet on them pulling it off at +2000 (bet $100 to win $2,000).

Team USA has been stacked from top to bottom, while Europe has lacked the depth to keep up with them. Dustin Johnson was won all four of his matches, and with a win in single match play tomorrow, he can pull off the 5-0 which was last achieved by Francesco Molinari for Team Europe in 2018.

Jon Rahm has earned 3.5 of Europe’s 5 total points. He’s done all he can, but six of the 12 golfers on Europe have failed to help by getting even a half a point through the first two days.

Tomorrow will be a day of celebration for Team USA and its fans.
