Seahawks vs. Colts: Odds, Spread, Over/Under and Prediction for NFL Week 1
The Carson Wentz-era in Indianapolis will begin this weekend when the Colts host the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 action.
After a long offseason, we’ll finally begin to see if Wentz can recreate some of the magic that he had with the Eagles in 2017 under offensive coordinator Frank Reich. We may not get the full answer if the reunion will end up being a happy one the first week, but we’ll at least start to see a clearer picture of how the Wentz experiment will turn out.
The Colts will be taking on the Seahawks in one of the few interconference matchups set for Week 1.
Seattle was a tail of two teams in 2020. Its offense was among the most explosive in the NFL throughout the first half of the season, while its defense was among the worst. The script got flipped in the second half of the season, when its offense became stagnant but the defense turned into a brick wall.
They finished the season with an impressive 12-4 record, but went on to lose to the Los Angeles Rams in the wild card round of the playoffs.
Both teams will aim to return to the postseason in 2021.

Seahawks vs. Colts Prediction and Pick
This is one of the toughest games to predict on the Week 1 slate.
Which version of the Seahawks from last season will show up?
Which version of Carson Wentz will it be?
So many questions on top of the fact that it’s Week 1 which already makes it near impossible to correctly envision the outcome.
With that being said, I’m taking the over 48.5. There are many questions surrounding this game, but one thing we know for sure is that the Seahawks have an explosive offense with Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, not to mention one of the best quarterbacks of our generation in Russell Wilson.
I also think Wentz will find at least some success with the Colts, largely due to him playing behind one of the best pass protecting offensive lines in the NFL. The Eagles gave up the most sacks in the NFL last season, so Wentz will finally have some time to set his feet and find his targets.
When in doubt, bet the over, and that’s exactly what I’m doing in this Week 1 game.
