Steelers vs. Ravens Prediction, Odds, Against Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 18
By Matt De Saro
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are fighting for the slimmest of chances to make the playoffs this year. However, a chance is a chance and each of these teams will be fighting tooth and nail in Week 18 to give themselves the best shot.
The last time these two teams met was in Week 13 when the Ravens lost 20-19 after trying to go for the win with a two-point conversion. That game really set the tone for the rest of the year for the Ravens as they have yet to win a game since that failed two-point conversion.
Before that, they were atop the AFC with an 8-3 record. Injuries have played a major role in their slide, but the fact remains that have been one of the worst teams down the stretch.
Meanwhile, the Steelers have actually looked pretty good over the last few weeks. In their most recent game, on Monday against the Cleveland Browns, the Steelers won 26-14 in what was likely Ben Roethlisberger’s swan song at Heinz Field. Big Ben didn’t exactly impress with just 123 yards on 46 passes, but he did enough to lead his team to a win.

Steelers vs. Ravens Prediction and Pick
I think the key to a decisive victory for the Steelers will be Defensive Player of the Year hopeful, T.J. Watt. The younger Watt brother recorded four sacks last week and is just one shy of tying Michael Strahan’s single-season sack record of 22.5. Considering he alone sacked Jackson 3.5 times in Week 13, Watt has a good shot at this record.
But this game is more than just Watt vs. Jackson. It is probably the last time we see Ben Rothlisberger in an NFL uniform. It is reasonable to assume that he and his team are prepared to leave it all on the field this week to give Big Ben a win in his final game. Hell, they even have the tiniest shot to make the playoffs as things currently stand in the AFC. While I don’t expect a 300-yard day from Ben, I think he does enough to lead his team to a win and limits his mistakes.
The last time these two teams met the Steelers pulled off an upset win over the best team in the AFC. Now, in Week 18, I like the Steelers to again upset the Ravens. But, this time the Ravens are just a team that has lost five games in a row including one to the Steelers.
Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers +5.5 (-110)
