This week, the Atlanta Falcons head down to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. For Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan, he is haunted by his past experiences against Tom Brady. While Brady’s jersey has since changed from New England blue to Tampa Bay red, that appears to be the only change in this head-to-head matchup of QB’s.

Matt Ryan is 0-6 in his career against Tom Brady, and WynnBET Sportsbook expects that trend to continue this week, with the Buccaneers set as large -12.5-point favorites on the spread and -700 on the moneyline. The over/under on the total is set at 52.

Ryan has six losses to Brady, but obviously, Super Bowl LI stands out as the most glaring. The Falcons squandered a 28-3 lead to Brady and his Patriots, losing 34-28; that’s 31 unanswered points. The chances of New England storming back to win that game was probably equal to my chances of winning the Masters. But it happened. Maybe I should grab the clubs and check the prices for flights to Augusta, Georgia?

Atlanta looked awful in their Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, and they may struggle a lot more in 2021. BetSided’s Iain MacMillan recently shared his thoughts on the Falcons. I’d recommend that fans of the Dirty Birds have a box of tissues nearby when reading Iain’s comments.

Atlanta would appear to be heading in the wrong direction; with Matt Ryan as the one, small tugboat pulling a monstrous and shabby battleship. Ryan being able to solely pull this team in the right direction may be too much to ask.
