The golf world is already amped up ahead of Masters Week, but the hype could go up to unfathomable levels if Tiger Woods enters the pack.
Before, there was only speculation, as Woods, according to an ESPN report, had played a practice round last Tuesday with his son Charlie and PGA star Justin Thomas. Now, we at least know he is headed back and preparing to play.
The 5-time Masters champion released a statement on social media stating that he's going back to Augusta National to practice ahead of next week's tournament, stating it will be a true "game-time decision" on if he is able to compete.
I will be heading up to Augusta today to continue my preparation and practice. It will be a game-time decision on whether I compete. Congratulations to 16-year-old Anna Davis on an amazing win at the @anwagolf and good luck to all the kids in the @DriveChipPutt.

Tiger Woods' Odds to Win the Masters Continue to Fluxuate
A few weeks out, WynnBET Sportsbook finally listed Woods as an available betting option to Win the Masters outright, dropping him on the board at 80/1.
By late last week, Woods' odds were cut in half due to overwhelming demand on the public betting him and creating a sizable liability for the book.
Update… Tiger’s now at 40/1 at @WynnBET ? https://t.co/emGcjrVsq1

As of Sunday, April 3, WynnBET now has Woods' odds back to their original number at +8000. A $25 bet on Tiger to win his sixth green jacket would win $2,000.
Good news for those who still have interest in betting Tiger Woods to win The Masters.@WynnBET, after opening at 80/1 and then moving late last week to 40/1, has ? back at 80/1 to win outright.

Personally, I'm not touching this number, or almost any number that sportsbooks offer to wager on Woods, even with his history and dominance at this tournament. Augusta National remains one of the toughest, if not the most difficult course to walk each season and Woods is still less than 14 months removed from a serious car accident and no events played on Tour since.
Likely nearly everyone else, I'll be rooting that he plays and makes the cut on Friday, but there's too much value elsewhere, especially if the public drives Woods' number further down for me to consider him.
