Titans vs. Rams Prediction, Odds, Spread and Over/Under for NFL Week 9
By Thomas Snodgrass
The Tennessee Titans (6-2) have won four straight games after defeating the Indianapolis Colts, 34-31, in overtime. The four straight wins is good news, but the loss of running back Derrick Henry for six-to-10 weeks, is really bad news.
Head coach Mike Vrabel has the impossible task of finding a running back that could fill Henry’s role in the Titans offense.
The Los Angeles Rams (7-1) have also won four straight games after picking up an easy victory over the Houston Texans in Week 8, winning 38-22. The Rams went into the fourth quarter with 38-0 lead, and then just took their foot off the gas and let the Texans score 22 unanswered points. Significant to some, depending on what side one may have wagered on the 16.5 point spread.
While Tennessee lost Derrick Henry on their offense, Los Angeles added Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller to their defense by trade.
Which team will pick up their fifth straight win in Week 9: Tennessee or Los Angeles?

Titans vs. Rams Prediction and Pick
Tennessee has been averaging 147.6 rushing yards per game, which is fourth in the NFL, but it’ll be interesting to see how its offense will operate without Henry in the backfield.
Ryan Tannehill will be the focal point of this offense, needing the quarterback to effectively move the ball down the field. A pass-first approach may be the best approach in Week 9, considering that Los Angeles is allowing 264.1 passing yards per game, 21st in the NFL.
It doesn’t help the Titans when they still hold a worse passing defense than the Rams though.
Los Angeles’ passing attack ranks fourth in the NFL in yardage, and Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods should continue to excel in Week 9 against Tennessee’s 24th-ranked passing defense.
The Rams defense has been a little bit better, and it should be even better now, after the addition of Von Miller.
Los Angeles will pick up the win at home, and I believe that they’ll cover the spread against a banged-up Titans offense.
PICK: Rams -7.5
