Top College Basketball Picks and Predictions Today

  • Georgia Tech-Utah UNDER 136
  • Bellarmine +22.5 vs. Duke
  • Cincinnati-Arizona OVER 158

Georgia Tech vs. Utah Odds, Prediction and Pick

Both these teams push pace, ranking in the top 60 in average possession length, but despite the movement towards the over, I still think under 136 remains the play.

Georgia Tech and Utah are both outstanding defensively. Georgia Tech ranks third in the nation in opponent effective field goal percentage while Utah comes in No. 8. Utah also is top 6 in both opponent 2-point and 3-point field goal percentage.

Even if the Utes top 80 efficiency offense gets going, the Yellow Jackets still have to find a way to score. They rank in the bottom 40 in college basketball in effective field goal percentage, and also are atrocious inside the line at 41.8%.

Between both teams' issues offensively, along with a noteworthy trend of unders at neutral site games hovering between 53-54% since 2005, I'll fade the move towards the over and remain under instead. - Ben Heisler

Bellarmine vs. Duke Odds, Prediction and Pick

There's a lot to like about Bellarmine in how they keep games close. They're 2-2 with short losses to both Clemson and Morehead State, while also upsetting Louisville as a near double-digit dog on the road.

The main reason I like Bellarmine to cover vs. Jon Scheyer's squad is they don't turn the ball over, coming in at No. 36 in the nation in turnover percentage. They also plays uper slow, bottom-10 in college basketball in pace and adjusted tempo via KenPom.

The Knights might get clobbered inside, but if they make some shots and not allow the Blue Devils free baskets off of steals, they can certainly keep this within 23.5 points. - Peter Dewey

Cincinnati vs. Arizona Odds, Prediction and Pick

This should be a fun matchup to close out today's action from Maui, as the Wildcats play fast, and score early and often. Arizona ranks fifth in adjusted offensive efficiency, first in effective field goal percentage, first in 2-point percentage (72.8%), and third in 3-point percentage (46.7).

Cincinnati is the best team defense Arizona has seen in the early going this season, but when you've got a team full of guys that can shoot from all over the court, make free throws and push the tempo, it really doesn't matter how competitive that defense is.

Arizona's defense ranks 37th in adjusted efficiency via KenPom, but Cincinnati is due for some positive regression. Despite ranking 316th from beyond the arc, and 314th in effective field goal percentage, they still come in with the 64th ranked adjusted KenPom offense in the country. This is still a team in transition, but they should make more shots as they run with the Wildcats tonight.

Every Wildcats game has gone way past this number all season long, and I expect that trend to continue from the shores of Maui tonight. - Ben Heisler
