Top MLB Picks and Predictions Today (Trust Mets, Red Sox and Bet This OVER on Tuesday)
We've got a loaded slate in Major League Baseball on Tuesday, June 14, and the BetSided team has some picks to share with the odds via WynnBET Sportsbook.
We're mixing it up today with one run line bet, one moneyline bet and one total to play in today's games.
San Diego Padres vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction and Pick
The wind is blowing out at 14 miles per hour at Wrigley Field and I'm not fazed by the high total, I'm still going over.
Kyle Hendricks has a 5.22 ERA this season but somehow, he should be doing even worse, according to his FIP of 5.45. He is striking out less than six batters per 9 innings, and has been crushed by the long ball. The former ace of this rotation has allowed 11 home runs in 58.2 innings pitched this season, nearly two per 9.
However, the Cubs offense can produce against the southpaw Sean Manaea. The team is 13th in OPS against left handed pitching on the season and Manaea is a predominantly fly ball pitching, allowing that type of contact on nearly 60% of balls in play. With the ball carrying at Wrigley, I can't trust him on Tuesday as a road favorite.
There's only one way to play this one, and it's the over.

Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Mets Prediction and Pick
The Brewers have been one of the worst offenses so far this month, ranking 29th in Major League Baseball in the month of June. There's no question that they'll be out-matched against the Mets tonight, especially considering New York gets to face a right-handed pitcher in Adrian Houser.
The Mets are first in batting average (.272) and third in OPS (.758) against righties this season, so they're set to put on an offensive masterclass tonight.
A staple of the Brewers success the past couple of years has been their bullpen, but that's an area that've struggled in so far in 2022, ranking 13th in bullpen ERA, including 24th this month. With no offense to show as of late, and a struggling bullpen, the Brewers are almost unbettable until further notice.
Pick: Mets -143 -- Iain MacMillan

Oakland Athletics vs. Boston Red Sox Prediction and Pick
Jared Koenig’s journey to the big leagues is a really nice story, but the Braves introduced him to the show by tagging him for four runs in just four innings pitched. The A’s are 21-41, and there is a reason that Koenig has been able to make their roster after spending so much time in independent league baseball. Boston will likely remind him of that the same way Atlanta did.
Against the Braves, Koenig allowed a hard hit rate of 53.8% well above the league average of 35.6% that coincided with an average exit velocity six MPH above league average.
The Red Sox lineup crushes left-handed pitching, J.D. Martinez and Trevor Story specifically. As a team, they have an OPS of .744 against left-handers and at home they are at their best with a .757 OPS compared to .702 on the road.
Koenig is a northern California native and I bet he will be excited to get back there after this trip to Fenway.
Pick: Boston -1.5 (-110) -- Josh Yourish
