Yesterday, we hit the dreaded reverse sweep. None of the picks hit. The Aces, who were favored by 12, ended up losing by 16 points yesterday. While we were able to sneak in a pick on the OVER for the Sparks-Fever game, it doesn’t officially count because it wasn’t listed. 

Today, there’s only one game on today, but it’s going to be a great one. Let’s get right into the picks for Storm-Sky.

Storm vs. Sky Best Bets

This game is going to be a slugfest. We have the No. 1-ranked defense Seattle Storm and the No. 4-ranked defense Chicago Sky. Oh, and both teams are coming in on four-game winning streaks. The last time these teams played, the Storm won 74-71. Both teams are playing well and clicking offensively right now, but I’m going to trust the defenses. 

The Storm have hit the UNDER in its last two games, and are set up to hit the UNDER more often than not thanks to their defense and slow style of play. Seattle plays at the 10th-fastest pace in the league. Chicago, while not as slow, is 5th in the league in pace. They aren’t getting into track meets on a nightly basis. 

To go along with the UNDER play, I’ll also take the Storm to win today. Seattle has already beaten the Sky once this year and it has a good case to do it again. 

Seattle’s offense has really come to life over the last four games. Although I’m taking the UNDER, I like the fact that the Storm don’t look one-dimensional right now. If they’re able to put some pressure on the Sky’s defense and be efficient down the stretch of the game, they’ll win what should be a close game.
