Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Top WNBA Picks For May 26

  • Wings vs. Sun OVER 159.5 (-110)
  • Wings +8 vs. Sun (-110)

Wings vs. Sun OVER 159.5

It’s déjà vu all over again when the Dallas Wings take on the Connecticut Sun at Mohegan Sun Arena for the second time in three days.

Back on Tuesday, I took the Wings as 8.5-point underdogs because I felt the metrics towards Connecticut were skewed due to their lack of competition. The result ended up being an outright 8-point road win for Dallas.

Instead of backing them again with almost the exact same line, I’ll bank on the Sun to adjust from their previous matchup, and get back to their dominant offensive ways. Despite beating bums along the way, Connecticut still has plenty of scoring talent on the roster, ranking third in points per 100 possessions this season and an MVP candidate in Jonquel Jones.

The Wings have scored just under 90 points per game on average over their last three games, including 85 against a solid defense. I like both teams to push the pace a little more in their rematch, as the Sun get back to what they do best.. – Ben Heisler

Wings +8 vs. Sun

The Wings have the third-best record in the WNBA right now and just beat the Sun by eight points. I’m not ready to jump on the Wings’ bandwagon just yet, though. Our guy Ben Heisler took the Wings +8 in their last matchup with the Sun because he thought Connecticut was – and is – a bum slayer. I agree with him in the sense that they’re statistics make them look like the best team in the league (92nd percentile in PPG, Opponent PPG, Net PPG and Defensive PPG). Yet, the Sun still have an MVP candidate on their roster and are a proven elite team in the league.

I’m not going to back the Sun to win this outright, because I want to play it safe. The Wings have been good enough to win five of the first seven games, so they’ll get some respect tonight. – Donnavan Smoot
