We had a solid time betting on the WNBA last night. We were on the right side of the Liberty-Sky game, but didn’t get enough points from the Fever to help the total go OVER 175. Still, a .500 day is better than the day we had prior.

Tonight, we have another two-game slate, with the Storm looking to bounce back against the Mystics and the Wings and Dream fighting for playoff positioning.

Best WNBA Picks For Saturday, July 30

  • Wings ML vs. Dream (+100)
  • Storm vs. Mystics 1H OVER 77 (-110)

Storm vs. Mystics Best Bets

When evaluating both Seattle and Washington for the 2022 season, at first glance, it looks like a defensive battle from the get-go. Washington owns the league's best overall defensive rating at 94.4, while Seattle is second (95.3). However, if we limit the focus to just the first half, the defensive ranking drops for both Seattle (2nd to 5th) as well as Washington (1st to 2nd)

Furthermore, both teams' offense since the All-Star break rank seventh and eighth in offensive rating. Yet in the first half, Washington's moves up to top 3; a few percentage points way from second (currently held by the Phoenix Mercury).

I like the Mystics to win and cover at home where they've played exceptional basketball all season, but I feel more safe jumping on the total for the first half instead. – Ben Heisler

PICK: Storm vs. Mystics 1H OVER 77 (-110)

Wings vs. Dream Best Bets

These are two 12-win teams who’ve lost three of their last five games looking for a bounce-back win. Atlanta has the advantage in pace (3rd highest pace) and can speed Dallas up and out of their game. However, the Wings are better on both offense and defense at their 6th-ranked pace, so I think I’ll side with Dallas tonight.

The Wings are nearly seven points per 100 possessions more efficient than the Dream on offense and average four points more per game. Atlanta’s defense is better, allowing 4.2 points less per 100 possessions than Dallas, but the offense has been its Achilles heel all season long.

Record-wise, these teams are close. However, I like what I see on paper from the Wings more, so I’ll back Dallas tonight as small underdogs. – Donnavan Smoot

Pick: Wings ML vs. Dream (+100)
