The No.1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft held the No. 1 odds for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year from the moment his name got called.

Considered one of the safest and promising quarterbacks since Andrew Luck, Lawrence was the chosen one in Jacksonville, ready to re-ignite a team that hadn't won a game since Week 1 of the 2020 season.

Fast forward several months later. The Jaguars' have started the season 0-3 under Urban Meyer as they head towards their Thursday night game as 7.5-point road underdogs at Cincinnati at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Scroll down to the "Futures" tab at WynnBET and under "NFL Offensive Rookie Of The Year 2021-22," you'll see Lawrence's name down the list at +700, a steep fall from the +300 to +350 he opened the season at.

And if you're a wise bettor, you'll grab Lawrence right now while his value is at its lowest point.

Lawrence is Playing the Best of all the Rookie Quarterbacks

The last two winners of the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year have both been quarterbacks. Justin Herbert took home the award in 2020, and Kyler Murray followed the year after. Running back Saquon Barkley had a remarkable rookie season in 2018, but Dak Prescott won it the year before, giving quarterbacks three of the last four seasons.

This is still a quarterback award unless someone goes out and takes it from them.

In fact, it nearly happened last year as Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson set records as a rookie wideout, catching 88 passes for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns. He still couldn't sniff Justin Herbert.

Lawrence's start has been suboptimal, but the Jaguars didn't have high expectations in the first place. He still leads all rookie quarterbacks by a mile in touchdowns with 5, although he also has 7 interceptions as well.

Between Zach Wilson, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, and even Trey Lance, Lawrence is getting the best combination of opportunities to make plays, while also looking the most NFL-ready of all the prospects. Lance still provides unique value at +700 considering the weapons around him and his team being amongst the best in the league, but I expect Lawrence to improve steadily as the year goes on, making his ROY price at WynnBET a very fair one.
