Many of us at BetSided had a feeling that the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers would be two of the most-bet favorites of the week over at WynnBET, but the numbers ended up even higher than most expected.

WynnBET released its full set of betting splits for the Sunday NFL slate of games with several notable favorites receiving 90+ percent of both the tickets and handle.

In the early slate, the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs were the two most overwhelming favorites. Kansas City picked up 94.6% of the tickets and 96.8% of the money after moving from 7.5-point road favorites to 7. Tennessee is also a huge public favorite, receiving 94.7% of the betting slips and 88.9% of the money as 6.5-point road favorites against the winless New York Jets.

In the late afternoon and evening games, two particular splits stand out not just because of the high-profile nature of the matchup, but because of how uneven the splits are.

In the late afternoon window, the Packers as 6.5-point favorites over the Pittsburgh Steelers have received 92.2% of the betting tickets at WynnBET, along with 91.4% of the money. Later on in the Sunday night game, the Buccaneers, now 7-point road favorites have 91.2% of the bets, and 85.5% of the handle when Tom Brady returns to Foxboro.

Public Bettors Backing Packers, Buccaneers Heavily in Week 4

It makes plenty of sense why the public is all over both of these high profile favorites in (somewhat) stand-alone matchups on Sunday. Green Bay's Sunday night victory last week on the road against the 49ers is fresh in the mind of bettors. In addition, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has looked abysmal in the team's last two starts and was not able to complete almost anything downfield.

Meanwhile, Tom Brady returns to Foxboro already starting publicly of how badly he wants to beat his former team. Factor in Brady winning a Super Bowl in his first season away from New England, along with the Patriots' inconsistent start to the season,

Personally, I'll be siding with the sportsbooks for both of these matchups, despite the eye test telling me I should probably go the other way.
