Warriors vs. Thunder Prediction and Odds: Expect Warriors to Notch Fourth Win in a Row
By Matt De Saro
The Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder will face off Tuesday night at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
The Warriors have come out hot to start the season, winning their first three games against the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Sacramento Kings. In the last game out, against the Kings, the Warriors won and covered as three-point road favorites, winning by 12.
In stark contrast, the Oklahoma City Thunder started the season with a three-game losing streak, dropping games to the Philadelphia 76ers, Houston Rockets, and Utah Jazz. Even worse, the team is 0-3 ATS and got blown out by 33-points by the Rockets.
With two teams heading in clearly opposite directions, can we expect more of the same or a change of fortune for these Western Conference rivals?

Warriors vs. Thunder Prediction and Pick
Even this early into the season, it is clear that these two teams are on divergent paths. The Thunder have looked very weak to start the season and a 33-point loss to the Rockets in your second game of the season is a massive problem.
I don’t mean to jump to conclusions so soon into the season but this Thunder team needs to shape up quickly. So far, in three games, the Thunder are scoring 93.3 on average compared with their opponents putting up 115.3 points per game. I have said it before, I’m no math whiz, but I believe winning games is much harder when you allow the other team to score more than you.
Meanwhile, things in Golden State have started off very positive this season. The Warriors are 3-0 out of the gate and the start has come against a trio of tough teams. The Warriors are also 2-1 ATS so far to start the year, beating the Lakers as 3.5-point underdogs and a 12-point victory over the Kings as three-point favorites.
Led by Steph Curry, who netted 27 points against the Kings along with 10 assists and seven rebounds, the Warriors should cruise to a win here.
But, what about covering 9.5? The Thunder are less of a win-now team than a team under construction and therefore their 0-3 start makes sense. The team has a wealth of draft picks but none of that will win them games this season.
I think the Warriors continue their hot start to the season with a win and cover over a rebuilding Thunder franchise.
Prediction: Warriors -9.5 (-110)
