The New York Giants are pitiful.

Even after they got an interception in the waning moments and saw Dustin Hopkins miss the game-winning field goal, the Giants found a way to mess it up, losing to the Washington Football Team, 30-29.

New York had the game won, with Hopkins missing his initial field goal try. Yet, Dexter Lawrence jumped offsides, which gave Hopkins another chance and ultimately gave Washington the win -- much to the dismay of Giants fans and bettors everywhere.

The Giants had several chances to take control of the game. Darius Slayton dropped the most wide open pass he’ll ever have in his career, Daniel Jones had a touchdown called back because of a holding penalty and they failed to get a touchdown on the drive following Taylor Heinicke’s interception.

Washington escaped with the win, improving to 1-1, but failed to cover as home favorites -- making this the second straight game it doesn't cover. Taylor Heinicke, outside of the interception, played well and did exactly what he was supposed to do: Not lose the game.

If you bet the over on this game, you have to be smiling regardless of who you rooted for. The point total for this game was moved to 40.5 before the game, which was shattered with a final total of 59 points.

The Giants are still winless and should see both their odds to win the division and their win total projection both fall over at WynnBET because of this loss. It’s a tough night to be a “G-man,” and it's going to be a tough season if every week plays out like this.
