WATCH: Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa Hit Insane Back-to-Back Shots in Final Hole at the Masters
Just when it seemed like all the excitement at the Masters was over, Rory McIlroy and Collin Moriakwa delivered on their final hole at the Masters.
Rory, who was already 7-under par for the day, needed one more birdie to make leader Scottie Scheffler sweat a little bit down the stretch. His approach shot found the green-side bunker on the 18th hole, a place that seemed impossible for him to find the bottom of the cup from.
Maybe it would be for anyone not named Rory McIlroy.
The shot put him at 7-under par, three strokes back from leader Scottie Scheffler and sole position of second place. Then, right when it seemed like things couldn't get any more crazy, Collin Morikawa followed it up with a hole-out of his own.
The Green Jacket is likely going to go to Scheffler, and he certainly deserves it. But the lasting memory from today's final round at the 2022 Masters will be this moment in time delivered to us by Rory McIlroy and Collin Morikawa.
