The Golden State Warriors finally welcomed Klay Thompson back, but injuries still defined their season as both Stephen Curry and Draymond Green missed extended periods of time.

They still finished with the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference though, and will take on the No. 6 Denver Nuggets in the first round.

Peter Dewey has us covered with a series preview, though all eyes will be on Curry's status as he tries to return from injury for an NBA Finals run.

It seems the last 10 years have been defined by Warriors' playoff success, but let's take a look at the last time they made the postseason.

When Was the Last Time the Warriors Made the Playoffs?

The Warriors last made the playoffs in 2019, when they lost to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals. That was the final run for the Kevin Durant era and capped off five consecutive Finals appearances.

Golden State missed the postseason each of the last two seasons, but three championships in the five seasons before that is a lovely consolation prize.

Warriors Odds to Win the NBA Championship, Western Conference

WynnBET Sportsbook currently has the Warriors listed at +500 to win the Western Conference and +900 to win the NBA Finals. They have the second-lowest odds to win the West and the fourth-lowest odds to win the championship.

Despite an injury-riddled season, Golden State still finished with the fourth-best net rating in the league and second-best defense.

Stephen Curry was on an MVP-level before his injury, and if he can return to form then the Warriors are primed for a deep run. Jordan Poole enjoyed a breakout season and Thompson is looking more like the Klay of old every game.

If the Warriors advance past the Nuggets, they'll take on the winner of the Memphis Grizzlies-Minnesota Timberwolves series. It all depends on Curry's status, though. Without him, they're at risk of losing in the first round. But with him, they can certainly win the whole darned thing.
