Trends, trends, and more trends.

We’re back for another week of wild wagering trends! If you blindly backed the trends in last week’s article, you would have gone 1-2.

See, I guess blindly backing trends isn’t the smartest strategy after all. That's why we're here to help sort through it all at BetSided.

With that being said, they serve as interesting tidbits and a good spot to start your handicapping.

Let’s take a look at my three favorite betting trends for NFL Week 5 action. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Rams vs Seahawks +2.5 | Over/Under 54

Sean McVay 13-6-1 ATS following a loss

If you like this trend, then you shouldn’t allow last week’s loss to the Cardinals sway you from placing this bet. The sign of a good coach is being able to successfully bounce back after a loss, and that’s exactly what Sean McVay has done.

Not only is he 13-6-1 ATS after a loss as the head coach of the Rams, but they’re 8-2-1 ATS after their last 11 losses while also being 7-1 ATS in their last eight prime time games.

There’s a lot of reasons to like the Rams on Thursday night against the Seahawks.

Patriots vs Texans +9.5 | Over/Under 39.5

The UNDER is 10-2 in the Patriots last 12 games

The total is set at an extremely small number in this weekend’s game between the Patriots and Texans, but it’s probably for good reason. Not only is the UNDER 10-2 in the Patriots last 12 games, but both offenses have struggled this season.

The Texans have only scored a combined 16 points in the last two and a half games since Davis Mills took over at quarterback, and the Patriots rank 27th in the NFL in points per game averaging only 17.8.

Even with the small total, the UNDER might be the play here.

Giants vs Cowboys -7 | Over/Under 51.5

The Giants are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 road games

Who would have thought, of all teams, that the New York Giants would be road warriors?

I don’t know what Daniel Jones has against playing in New Jersey, but he’s been significantly better in his career on the road which is probably what lends itself to this wild trend.

Not to mention the Giants got their first win of the season last week by upsetting the Saints in their homecoming game in New Orleans. Wild Stuff.
