Josh Hader has pitched 21 times this season for the Milwaukee Brewers, and in 20 of those appearances, he has not allowed a run.

The one time he did, it cost the Brewers, along with their moneyline bettors (-110) a win.

Hader entered Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies with a 0.00 ERA, and 28 strikeouts in 17.2 innings. Even more remarkable? Hader had allowed just FOUR hits in just under 18 innings! He had also been a perfect 18 of 18 in save opportunities for the Brew Crew.

But the wheels came off Tuesday, as the flame-throwing lefty allowed two home runs in the bottom of the ninth, the first off a fastball up to right-hander Alec Bohm that tied the game at 2.

Then with one out, Matt Vierling put the Phillies on top for good.

Hader's 40-game scoreless streak came to an end on Tuesday. He also had not allowed a run in the regular season since July 28 of last year!

Pour one out for your Brewer betting friends from Tuesday night, because that was a historic bad beat.

There were other brutal beats that took place this week as well. Amongst several to choose from, here were two others that stood out.

Bad Beats of the Week (Monday, June 6 - Sunday, June 12)

Sky vs. Mystics (Washington -2.5) - Wednesday, June 8

As someone who bet Washington at -2.5, as well as -3.5, this one was personal.

The Mystics had built up a 17-point lead at home in the second half against the visiting Chicago Sky on Wednesday evening. With a double digit lead heading into the 4th quarter, the Sky started to make a run, but with 5:37 left to go, the lead was still 13 in favor of the Mystics.

All good things apparently must come to an end, as Chicago outscored Washington 17-4 down the stretch, losing by two in the final seconds. Chicago covered the +2.5, and my Mystics betting ticket was figuratively shredded to pieces.

Oh, and for what it's worth, Chicago fouled Ariel Atkins with one second left on the clock with Washington in the bonus, but the refs never blew a whistle. Free throws were ON THE TABLE, and still, no dice.

Stanford vs. UConn UNDER 10.5 - Sunday, June 12

The road to Omaha and the College World Series is underway, as Stanford and UConn continue their Super Regional series in Palo Alto.

After the Huskies blitzed the No. 2 ranked Cardinal in Game 1 by a 13-12 score, another over looked like easy money on Sunday. Stanford put up eight runs in the first two innings while UConn added one of their own in innings 1 and 2, putting the total at 10 runs through two innings.

The total was set at 10.5. The final score? Stanford 8, UConn 2.

No more runs were scored in the remaining seven innings after being a run shy of the over in the first two frames!
