When Does the Masters Start?
As long as there are no weather delays, the Masters will begin on the morning of Thursday, April 7th. It will then conclude on Sunday, April 10th. Exact tee times and groupings have yet to be announced, but we will update this article as soon as we get that information.
The tournament will take place at Augusta National Golf Club.
How Many Make the Cut at The Masters?
The top 50 players after the second round, which takes place on Friday, will make the cut and advance to the weekend.
The top 50 includes ties, so it's usually a few more than 50 golfers who advance to the weekend. If a golfer is tied for 50th, he'll advance no matter how many people are tied with him.
While the cut line is yet to be determined, last year's cut line was at +3. Meaning all golfers who were at +3 or better, advanced to the weekend.
Masters Purse, How Much Does the Winner Make?
The total purse for the 2022 Masters is $11.5 million. The winner will take home a little over $2 million.
The exact payout for the golfers who finish in the top 10 is as follows:
- Winner - $2,070,000
- 2nd place - $1,242,000
- 3rd place - $782,000
- 4th place - $552,000
- 5th place - $460,000
- 6th place - $414,000
- 7th place - $385,250
- 8th place - $356,500
