The St. Louis Cardinals wrap up their three-game series with the San Francisco Giants from Busch Stadium tonight with the rubber game set for Sunday Night Baseball.

It's a pitching matchup between two drastically different pitchers, each uniquely effective and dominant in very different ways. Power-lefty Carlos Rodón takes the mound for the Giants against 40-year old right-hander Adam Wainwright, as St. Louis finds themselves as a short home moneyline underdog (+128) at WynnBET Sportsbook with a total of 7.

For a full breakdown on how to bet tonight's game of the night, BetSided's Joe Summers has your Giants vs. Cardinals betting preview as well as his pick here.

If you're looking to add onto your baseball betting card, or just load up on props in the standalone national game, here are my two favorite props with odds over at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Best Sunday Night Baseball Prop Bets (Giants vs. Cardinals)

  • First Five Innings Total Runs UNDER 3.5 (-115)
  • Carlos Rodón UNDER 7.5 strikeouts (-130)

First Five Innings Total Runs UNDER 3.5 (-115)

St. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright is, in a sense, Matthew McConaghey's character of David Wooderson from Dazed and Confused.

Stay with me.

He keeps getting older, but his pitching and ERA stay the same age.

Make a little more sense, now?

As Wainwright pitches into his age 40 season, he continues to put up terrific numbers. While his strikeout numbers have gone down, his ground ball rate is the highest of his career at 57.6%, also bringing down his home run rate per nine innings to just over 0.5.

Between him and the dominance of Rodón, who hasn't allowed more than two runs in any start this year, we should be able to bank on at least five innings from each starting pitcher before bullpens start entering the third time through the order.

Carlos Rodón UNDER 7.5 strikeouts (-130)

BetSided's Peter Dewey chose Rodón's under as his top MLB prop bet of the day, and while the left-hander has been sensational this season, the number is still a bit inflated.

Peter points that the Cardinals are third-best in baseball in strikeouts per game, and have put up even better strikeout numbers in home games.

While Rodón has gone past this number in every game but one, the longer sample size advantage goes to St. Louis, who also have hit left-handers well all season.
